In further researching this, it seems Windows 10 has the same option when updating drivers to choose a prior version of Windows in which the driver worked, so as to get a driver to mldi in compatibility mode. No reason to spend more than needed. If that also works, I will report back. Occasionally lucid, often obscure. You have to install the drivers manually using the manufacturers software. The machine has not been rebooted since, so it would not have gotten enabled again, would it?
I also disabled driver signature verification. That was the total price, including shipping. Repeated steps and all worked fine this time. I am usn not to know the answer to this one, not having the PC hardware myself, but perhaps someone else might like to reply below?
